right\u00a0is how it looks before the rice starts to cook.<\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients<\/h3>\n<p><span id=\"lblIngAmount\" class=\"ingredient-amount\">2 teaspoons<\/span> <span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">olive oil<br \/>\n<\/span>6\u00a0<span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces, and<\/span>\u00a03\u00a0sausages<span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">, diced<br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"lblIngAmount\" class=\"ingredient-amount\">1<\/span> <span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">onion, diced<br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"lblIngAmount\" class=\"ingredient-amount\">1\/2 cup<\/span> <span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">diced celery<br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"lblIngAmount\" class=\"ingredient-amount\">1<\/span> red\u00a0<span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">bell pepper, diced<br \/>\n<\/span>1 green pepper, diced<br \/>\n<span id=\"lblIngAmount\" class=\"ingredient-amount\">1\/8 teaspoon<\/span> <span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">cayenne pepper<br \/>\n<\/span>3 large garlic cloves, chopped<br \/>\n<span id=\"lblIngAmount\" class=\"ingredient-amount\">1\/2 teaspoon<\/span> <span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">onion powder<br \/>\n<\/span>1\/2 teaspoon thyme<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp parsley<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon oregano<br \/>\nsalt and ground black pepper to taste<br \/>\n<span id=\"lblIngAmount\" class=\"ingredient-amount\">2 cups<\/span> <span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">uncooked white rice<br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"lblIngAmount\" class=\"ingredient-amount\">4 cups<\/span> <span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">chicken stock<br \/>\n<\/span>3\u00a0<span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">bay leaves<br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"lblIngAmount\" class=\"ingredient-amount\">2 teaspoons<\/span> <span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">Worcestershire sauce<br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"lblIngAmount\" class=\"ingredient-amount\">1 teaspoon<\/span> <span id=\"lblIngName\" class=\"ingredient-name\">hot pepper sauce<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0How to prepare<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span class=\"plaincharacterwrap break\">Heat oil in a dutch oven, large pot, or very large saucepan\u00a0over medium heat. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"plaincharacterwrap break\">Add onion and sautee until it begins to soften<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"plaincharacterwrap break\">Add the celery and continue to sautee until the celery is soft and the onion is clear.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"plaincharacterwrap break\">Remove from the pot and add the garlic. Cook until aromatic.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"plaincharacterwrap break\">Add chicken and kielbasa and add your oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook on medium-high heat until lightly browned<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"plaincharacterwrap break\"> Stir in onion and celery, and add the red pepper. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"plaincharacterwrap break\">Season with cayenne pepper and onion powder.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"plaincharacterwrap break\">Add rice and bay leaves, then turn to maximum. When you start to hear sizzling, stir in chicken stock<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"plaincharacterwrap break\">When everything comes to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"plaincharacterwrap break\">Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Serve and enjoy!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I picked up this original recipe from AllRecipes and modified it to fit my family&#8217;s tastes. \u00a0The picture to the right\u00a0is how it looks before the rice starts to cook.
